We recently made a very quick trip down to Hilton Head. The kids’ spring break was a pretty busy week for us and we couldn’t take a longer trip.. but I wanted to do something with them and ‘get away’ if only for a minute. My friend took her family to Hilton Head for the week, and I thought it would be an easy get-away, seeing a new area and spending time with our friends.
Many months ago, my mother wanted to plan a beach vacation on the Outer Banks, NC with my brother and me and our kids for this summer. We went back and forth on dates and houses and then (finally!) the house was secured back in January … WAY before Covid hit. Leading up to the trip in July,
